Joseph L. Owen is a national park ranger at Lyndon B. Johnson National Historic Park and is a member of Hood’s Texas Brigade and the Austin, Texas Civil War Round Table. Owen is a United States Navy veteran and currently resides in Blanco, Texas.

Joe Allport is a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas and a seventh-generation Texan. One of his ancestors was a captain in the 1st Texas Infantry.

Author Philip McBride is an avid reader of military historical fiction, and is a compulsive writer. He lives with his wife Juanita in Lockhart, Texas, a small town which is the acknowledged Barbeque Capital of Texas, and not far from the Alamo.
