DESCRIPTION
Through artistic documentary photography, Paul Meacham unveils the hidden history of Georgia’s coast, from the terrible legacy of slavery, disease, and warfare, through millionaires, lumber booms, and the automobile era.

Discover ghost towns, the ruins of a nation at war, a baseball tycoon’s mansion, and remote islands with forgotten legacies.

You’ll meet the doctor who became “a martyr to duty,” and learn about the young people who took to the woods to change the world.

Paul Meacham has captured some locations that have disappeared and has preserved the visual legacy of others that could eventually be lost. Explore the rich history and natural beauty found in Abandoned Coastal Georgia.
