Thom Hindle is a professional photographer and collector since 1968. The Thom Hindle Collection of historic images includes over 100,000 glass plate and acetate negatives taken by early twentieth-century New England photographers. The negatives, many forgotten in attics or lofts in barns, slowly deteriorating from the elements, were purchased from the families and are now being stored in archival sleeves. Images that would have been lost are currently displayed in the collections of corporate, medical and professional facilities throughout New England. As a photographer, Thom has continued to document historical events, fires, ribbon cuttings, new construction, and celebrity and presidential visits with his cameras.
